My Mom loved baseball.

she asked to watch the World Series with me last year, even though her Dodgers got knocked out. we had just acquired a flat-screen TV for her, so she could keep up with the Animal Planet, etc.....she hadn't bothered to watch TV for 20+ years prior, and she needed a little help with the remote and channel selection, but we muddled through it......
when she was younger, and i was just a boy, we'd sometimes go to the Stadium with Dad or her brothers and she'd just dance and cheer for the Boys in Blue.
we talked about it recently and it was refreshing to hear how passionate she was and still wanted to know who the players were and who stood out. she really knew the game.
football, not so much. doubt she gave a crap about the Super Bowl.
her health declined so rapidly, that the past few years seem like a blur. everything before was full of activity and movement. then, confinement took over and she slowly began to feel the effects of her life crashing down. our family supported her as much as seemed possible and even now, i can't figure out what it was that made her not want to be here anymore.
i guess she was sad. she went through some really difficult times in her life and didn't always come out of it so well. but, she never stopped loving her children and their extended families.
she was a mother of 4. a grandmother of 15. and a great-grandmother of 1.
she was a rock star to me.
i miss my Mom terribly and right now there is a lot of confusion in my heart. her heart was sick. and then it just stopped.
she left us this past Monday, April 7th at the age of 74. it was much too soon.
say a prayer, please, for her to be okay, if you are the praying kind. i just needed to share and i hope you understand. it's therapeutic.
thanks. see you guys later.

I know how hard it must be for you and the rest of the extended family. Do take care; my thoughts are with you and yours.
So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. It sounds like she was a great lady. I know you will miss her, but take some comfort knowing that she is watching over you and the rest of your family. She will be in my prayers. May GOD bless her and your family.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

What can I say that hasn't been said already? I echo all the sentiments above and wish you the best in getting through this difficult time.
Though you and I have never met, your online persona seems like a quality guy and matches a lot of what you say about your mother. She lives on in you.
Best.
I believe as long as she's in your heart and your memories, she will always be with you.
My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family.

Losing a parent stinks, but glad you spent so much quality time with her when you were younger.
Hang in there. It is so hard to lose somebody close to you. May you find comfort and peace from God and from the love and support of those around you. May your mom rest in peace.
And if you need any Japanese translations, I'm still your guy.

“God has not been trying an experiment on my faith or love in order to find out their quality. He knew it already. It was I who didn't. In this trial He makes us occupy the dock, the witness box, and the bench all at once. He always knew that my temple was a house of cards. His only way of making me realize the fact was to knock it down.”
It sounds like she was a real sports fan!
May your mother rest in peace and her spirit live on through her family

love and peace to each one of you.
My mom really didn't like baseball but she bought me my first packs of cards in '78. And she was awesome. Much love sent your way for yours. Best regards.

Hang in there.
Prayers to you and your family.
This kind of thing hits close to home for many. I know for myself, my mother has been ill for many years and I always fear that day.
You will all miss your mom but know she is at peace and still watching over you.
God bless
