<< <i>Congrats to the Mets and their fans here. Fantastic pitching staff, clutch hitting and the defense made the plays it was supposed to. The Mets earned and deserved the series win. Good luck against the Cubs.

I'm quite disappointed, but also believed deep down that this Dodgers team just didn't have what it took to go deep. Once you get past Kershaw and Greinke the pitching cupboard was bare, which put a ton of pressure on those two to be stellar every start. If they didn't have their best, then the pressure was on the offense to produce runs. Tonight, and many, many other nights, too damn many runners were left on base and there were too damn many unproductive outs with RiSP. Yes, players have to execute and there a large part of the responsibility rests on them. However, I 100% believe that Mattingly and McGwire are inept. Mattingly is a poor game and roster manager, and McGwire is an absolute f'ing joke as a hitting coach. If I was Andrew Friedman, I'd refuse both of them admittance to the locker room and have security show them to the gate. >>

    Well said Geordie; go cubbies!!!!
