    if they continue the taper it probably means they have evolved into a stealthier mode of operation

    as long as reduction in equities remains "orderly" taper will continue. FED would like nothing more than to slowly deflate the bubbles.

    The Fed will do what needs to be done to appease elected officials overseeing what they (WE) pay them to do. Manage monetary policy. It doesn't get much easier to understand, does it ?

    It does when necessities quadruple in price. one cannot quadruple the money supply in 5 years without dire consequence.
