Set Display Photos

PaulMaulPaulMaul Posts: 4,875 ✭✭✭✭✭
I decided to create a few photos that display all items pertaining to a given set...a type card, unopened packs, display items. Would love to see similar photos for other (especially older) sets for those who have the assets to swing it.

Nice photos. There are definitely some people on this board who could contribute. I don't (currently) collect the full spectrum of items for any year because of the space requirements to do a proper display. However, maybe something could be worked out if I think about it long enough.

Very nice. That '67 Jolly Giant must be worth some nice money!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Very nice, Dave! I like this concept very much!

Here's mine for 1972 Topps baseball:

Great '72 display Tim! Only it needs a cello pack in its individual box. I love those little boxes.....

And in tribute to tsalems and to our neighbors north of the border, here's the 72 Topps counterpart~72 OPC. I pulled the graded cards, including the Munson, from wax packs. image

That is a pretty neat idea. Interestingly enough (to me at least), but 3 of the players pictured have sons that played MLB. Fred & Jason Kendall, Tom & Neal Walker and Dave & Adam & Andy LaRoche.

Nice observation! And who knows, given Dick Allen's checkered history, he might have a son in MLB he's unaware of.

This is one awesome display. Is that a full unopened '67 Wacky's box, or an empty display box?
It's looks very high grade. I've only seen a few of these over the years.

Great stuff here. The GAI pack and PSA 9 card aren't too shabby either.

No, it's an empty box. It is high grade though. My registry for this set is only at around 25% so I have a long way to go!

    Very impressive guys!

Stuff like that would look great in a display case.

    Thanx.

I've never seen that red bubble OPC pack before! You learn something new everyday! Again, no love for the individual cello box image

Here you go, Dave...1970 Topps baseball~the jumbo cello in the green box is from the 3rd series. The 2nd series cello with Gentry on top in bottom right corner has Reggie on back..

Just picked up the 70 rack after looking for one for quite a while..Gibson is on back of that one (5th series).

    Keeping it simple:

Since I have so many nuances in my 1948 Leaf Football collection, figured I'd show a few higher grade cards (from the Basic Set), a White Background (from the Master Set), an Autograph (from the Autograph Set), a wrapper and a display box...

Great stuff everyone, love the 1973 2nd series wacky stuff, ripped a ton of those as a kid.

And Tim, I see I'm not the only one who needs a rak, cello and wax pack from each year! Love the pics.

Current obsession, all things Topps 1969 - 1972

That 1948 Leaf box is incredibly cool. I'm a big fan of the 1948 set (all sports). It's really grown on me over time.

Not sure why I removed the photos from my original posts but I think I still have some of them….

  • GroceryRackPackGroceryRackPack Posts: 3,211 ✭✭✭✭✭

My pic here is about a year old...
About 90% of my RC cola cans there I am the single owner of those; I bought those cans from a KFC which had a RC cola vending machine inside right before the order counter, and was about .35 cents a can.

My BBCE rack box there is and has been under a totally new construction which is still taking a lot of time to complete...
    {don't worry when my rack box is completed, I will post new pics of my completed project}

I know that I will be picking up more blaster's soon, so I'll have to re-arrange those as well... :)

Your pic of your 56's looks like they should be on a cover of a price guide... :)
