That pie looks good...never heard of thick Sicilian before, maybe that's what they call Chicago pie where you live?

I've had great pizzas in Los Angeles over the years. If you go to the Long Beach coin shows, there's a small Italian restaurant called Marri's that has great pizza. They used to be in downtown L.B. but changed locations several years ago to 6436 E Stearns St Long Beach, CA 90815 (562) 596-5771.

What is that on the right? Bacon and onions?

It starts off as a thick crust Sicilian mozzarella white pizza and is taken out of the oven when half done for toppings.
The left side is chicken parmigiana with breaded chicken, marinara sauce, and parmigiano cheese.
The right side is a philly cheese steak with fried onions.
In California, all I ever get is the leftovers from the $5 pizza pizza place after my son has had his way with it.
This is the ONE and ONLY thing that the East has over California.

There is a place in Eagle Rock called Casa Bianca, voted best in LA for years. If you think Ca pizza is bad, then never order a pizza in Canada.
