The thing with the NCAA ball is that they use that ball beginning in the regionals (48 teams up to 1997, 64 teams since). So for that particular year it could have been any one of 48 or 64 teams that made the post-season, and not necessarily the championship team or even a team that made it to the CWS. I also did a search for those names and came up empty.
I think you will do best to find gradable 70's and 80's stuff. PSa 10's of '85 Topps football can sell well, same for '86 depending on the player. it will be some work, but it won't take many hits to get $800 back if you hit the right cards. 90's basketball you will want to comb through carefully...doubt you will have a big winner there, but you never know.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

yeah there are about 1 to 2 million cards maybe more so there is going to be a lot to look through.
the guy and his nephew did say there was a box labeled money cards in there some where, with a Michael Jordan card with 800 dollars written on it, but who knows. they had no idea what they were talking about so......... speculation is all that I have till I pick it up
<< <i>I tried looking up several names / variations but unfortunately, nothing has tied them all together. Good luck! >>
I did too. No dice, yet.
I *think* the NCAA Championship baseballs are used not only in the College World Series, but in regionals and super regionals as well. (And probably D2/D3 as well - though I don't know much about those championships, honestly.)
Most of the D1 teams in Alabama (Auburn, Alabama, Jacksonville State, Troy, UAB, Samford, etc.) have made the NCAA tournament at some point.
Keep throwing up pictures of it, and one of those names might hit.
Brett Anderson (which I think is the autograph on the third picture) played for College of Charleston, which played a regional in Baton Rouge in 2004, and Clemson, SC in 2005.
Both of those are reasonably close to Talladega.
It's possible that the ball was caught and signed by players from any (or all) teams in that regional.

I wish I could help you, I am only 2 hours away. It might be worth paying a month on the storage unit to get the rest of it cleaned out. Of course that is based on what still remains and if you have somewhere else to store it.

I have a feeling I will be watching Storage Wars next season and see Dave talking about how 1990 Donruss cards are worth at least $1.00 each, Cal Ripken is an easy $50 back at the shop, $97,000 in profit.

We will let Dave Hester and Barry fight over that storage locker. lol Ultimately, I see Barry winning it as collectibles are his thing. He will start going through the boxes, determine it is all worthless, keep a few cards and trash the rest!
I do know someone in Anniston, they have a little boy that might have a blast going through the cards.

Why would your post count decrease if all you did was change your screen name? Did you already have two accounts? I'm confused here.
