1985fan you the biggest IDIOT I have ever encountered. You bring nothing to threads but complete ineptness and worthless dribble. You take things out of context ..... you make up things....and spew worthless dribble!!! GET LOST!!!
To everyone else who may think I am being unfair to ROMO.........
Let's turn things around and do a "What IF".
What if Romo was a elite QB that hardly ever (no one is perfect) made blunders and was a clutch player most of the time and was hailed as a winner. Then he threw an INT for a pic 6 and a game loss. Would it be fair to label him a loser because of this....NO! Certainly not.
Well, he is widely known as a loser who makes mistakes and loses games. This is not only my take on him, but the whole sports arena....with the exception of the all knowing all spewing IDIOT 1985fan.
He has been doing this for 7 years and it will take several years of winning and playing well before he loses his bad reputation.
Chokers don't have 20 fourth quarter game winning drives. Period. No matter how many time you scream it.
What's fascinating is instead of embracing his performance you continue to degrade him and call your own teams QB a choker. Fascinating you go out of your way to attack your QB and not defend him. Fascinating!
It's not me saying it.....it's the sports world! BUDDY!!!!!
Not really sure what sports world you are referring to DIMEMAN. ESPN (I think part of the sports world), was just discussing how with the 32nd ranked defense, it really is Romo that is keeping them in any of the games this year. Plus, They showed the stat that he has more game winning drives than any QB in the NFL since 2011. You know why? Because their defense continues to put him behind the 8 ball.

<< <i>If Philly beats the Bears tonight, then that 4th down play was the Cowboys' season. Making it happen when the season is (or could potentially be) on the line....that's all I've been asking for out of Romo. And today he did just that. Major props!
Give it up, Dimeman! >>
It won't mean anything if he can't beat PHI next week, at home, on national TV, and against the 30th ranked defense. No pressure....

The way the Philly offense was rolling last night, he may have to throw for 5 TDs just to keep pace.

Right because his defense is so good. Oh wait he has the 32nd ranked defense on his side. If he throws for 500 yards and five tds it still likely won't be enough. People like this who have no concept of what it means or what it takes to win a game. But then when your team has lost 13 straight games you forget what it takes to win.

Yup, gotta parlay it. Could easily be nullified in less than a week, but I'll give him his just due until then. >>
Who, DeMarco? Yeah, he definitely gets credit for winning the game. Major props!

Hey Stown, I bet Foles is relieved he doesnt have to go up against the 30th ranked defense. >>
Heh. Well played.
But seriously, take a look at the rankings (Link). The bottom 10 are pretty much a wash, which include: NE, KC, DEN, and GB. Did you know that the Arlington Cowboys give up a whopping .7 (that's point seven) more yards per play than PHI?
I didn't and goes to show one can learn something new every day.
edited to add: just realized DEN is the 11th worst, so technically speaking, that should read "The bottom 11 are pretty..."

Gotta love people picking and choosing stats to prop up their failing arguments. Dallas is the worst defense with over 6200 yards allowed and over 27 points per game allowed. Romo's the only reason this team has a shot at the playoffs. The defense is why this week is a winner take all. If the cowboys had even a mediocre defense they'd have 10+ wins and Sunday would be meaningless.
Rome was the hero yesterday (plus the Dallas defense was able to prevent Washington from scoring again after the Romo TD pass and the PAT put the Cowboys up by 1 point with about 1 minute to go).
1985fan is correct. If the Dallas Cowboys had even a mediocre defense this year it would be a 10+ win team and next Sunday's game against Philly would be meaningless. However, but for some late game Romo mistakes, Dallas (with a mediocre defense) would be a 12+ win team.
I hope Dallas wins next Sunday to get into the playoffs this year. I then hope Dallas wins games in the playoffs and that Romo does not make any crucial mistakes in crunch time. Heck, since the trend in the league is high scoring, how about Denver vs. Dallas in the Superbowl with a final score of 58-57 Denver wins with Manning and Romo each throwing 8 TDs and 600+ yards (since the defenses of both teams are swiss cheese).
Did you know that the Arlington Cowboys give up a whopping .7 (that's point seven) more yards per play than PHI?
Extrapolate that over a full season with opposing offenses running 60+ plays per game and you have enough yardage to add up to 8/ 80 yard drives over the course of the season. Otherwise known as 40% of Green Bay's 2nd half output with a backup QB.

Again, who cares about yards per play? But when you're desperately grasping at straws trying to undermine a team/player, again, there's no limit to the depths you'll sink trying to prop up your failing argument.
Dallas' defense is the worst in the league, with nearly 400 yards of difference between Dallas and Philly. Sorry, stownie, but this yards per play nonsense is just that - nonsense. Over a field goal more allowed per game by Dallas over Philly, and with all this, Philly only has a one game lead and Dallas holds the head to head advantage, which is a testament to just how great Romo has been this year.
If the defense does their job even a little bit and holds Denver and Green Bay even moderately in check, the Cowboys are at 10 wins now and coasting into the playoffs. Not that it matters now that Romo is out for the year, but Sunday's game against Philly shouldn't even matter at this point.

On the bright side, Flynn will most likely get another fat contract because of that second half collapse. So in theory, they did their part to help stimulate the economy.

Not to mention all the offensive coordinators that were able to pad their resumes after playing Dallas

Whoever made this prediction probably lacks critical thinking skills.
Critical thinkers would understand that the Doomsday defense can not hold anybody, and thus a Dallas blowout this year is highly unlikely.
