Thanks Ralph! It has been a long time coming. Ever since Saban left, we were kinda in a tailspin. With Dantonio, I felt there was a change. Even after last year's so-so result, I still had the faith. I actually thought they had a chance against OSU, and most seemed not to in the national media.
Also, I've haven't seen MSU's defense as confused looking as when Miller was running that ball all over the place. Pretty impressive. MSU is fortunate that he did not do that more.
There is no team more deserving than Auburn to play in the Championship Game. (except FSU of course) There are several one loss teams however that would get a chance to show they belong if there was an 8 team playoff. I would have rated the top 8 in order FSU, Auburn, Alabama, Stanford, Baylor, MSU, Ohio State, Missouri. The top four would have home field as they earned that for their season long play. OSU would have to go to Auburn, MSU to Alabama. There would still be an argument as to who should be #8. Two teams currently in the top 8 that I dropped out are Ok. St. which really can't complain and S. Carolina who did nothing to drop out other than stay home and watch Baylor and MSU win and pass them. There would be 2 to 3 weeks before the major bowls incorporate the semi-finals into their selections. The next week or so we have the Championship Game. The major Bowls would rotate the honor of hosting games. There would be some problems to iron out such as complaints fans would have too much traveling, season taking too long but many teams have a good base of fans going to the "cupcake" games so I think they would go to these games even with little advance notice of where they are to go, and we can play one less "Sisters of The Poor" game and eliminate one BYE.
The Big Ten and ACC have had a Basketball Challenge in place for years
There is no compelling reason that the conferences can not have a rotating challenge in football- afterall, there seems to be 4 non-conference games for major schools.

If the NCAA and the various conferences would spend more time thinking of creative ways to schedule meaningful non-conference games, perhaps it just might make a difference at the end of the season to determine which teams are worthy of a play-off invitation or just playing in the title game.

Congratulations to the Spartans. They are as deserving as Auburn as far as I am concerned. We need to go to an 8 team tournament.

Also the first decent team Mich St played all year so please take it easy on the MSU in the BCS title game.

I wasnt suggesting it. FSU and Auburn have shown they are worthy.
MSU was the first top 10 team OSU has played with Meyer at the helm. And that turned into a loss. No wonder they schedule cupcakes!

I was referring to the other hacks that hate the SEC and actually may believe that Mich St deserves a shot.
