Excellent color and eye appeal. Nice strike, very nearly 100%. Minimal surface marks. The luster seems average, from the images. I'd say it's a strong 64, perhaps a 64+ if you put it in a modern slab.

Super clean surfaces make me want to say 65 but I'm going to go 64 on this one. In part I'm going to guess conservative grading in an OGH, but also the luster in the image does not scream 65.

Nicer than my 65. Since it's an OGH, I will guess 65. If so, maybe try Reconsideration.

There are several series that are tough to grade. Buffs is one of them. By date/mintmark, there is a seperate grading standard within.

Believe this is a 65 as well.

Strikes I've seen on this particular date are generally good to excellent. I like the originality of the coin, but won't venture a guess as to its grade, because after a certain point, it's all eye appeal, and I don't get a good sense of this coin's eye appeal from its image. I've seen what I thought were properly graded Uncs with original surfaces and no major problems grade as low as MS 62.

Thanks for posting. I recently acquired one myself, a beautiful original raw one with great color at a great price (60 money) considering that it came back as a 63. Yours is nicer, and since it is in an OGH, I'll say 64, but it sure looks like it could go 65.

I think the camera settings that I use don't quite capture the coin's luster. I like the settings though because they seem to do a good job of displaying color and details. Maybe I'll try a few adjustments and see if I can make any improvements.

I hear you. I largely gave up on posting my own images since it was difficult to create images that accurately depicted the coin. Plus, best I can tell, there will always be a tradeoff between color/luster/details in any one image.
