The Bando is one of the nicest I have seen and a bomb. Some excess black, but terrific for that card. I'd grade the Vukovich and pass on the Hooton based on centering and the fact that an 8 doesn't pay for grading. The 463 looks like it could be nice, but is hard to tell from the scan. The right top and bottom corners look like they might not be that sharp and the card is oversized, so it likely has that dent across the bottom that so many do (just a guess), but it is a hard card and worth a closer look. Terrific pull on the Bando pays for all in spades.
It's a small sample size to be sure, but a rip like this one illustrates why even with the rising prices of unopened product from the 1970s, there are still benefits for those who choose to rip.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
1986 Topps Football is one of my all-time favorite football sets. The typically poor centering and the green boarders on this set make the cards a nightmare to find in high grade even straight out of the pack. Add to it the lure of the NFL rookies of Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Reggie White and Bruce Smith and you have yourself one under-rated unopened product.
Here is a cello pack that I just broke. Both Marino's and the Lonnie Young have legit chances at grading PSA 10...they are super clean. The only other star cards in the pack besides Marino were a Marcus Allen and the Dickerson 1000 yard card.
I would love for others to upload some more updates of their unopened collections and/or recent rips to this thread!! Please feel free to share the fun images as a Christmas gift to the rest of us
