the trouble with a coin such as that is the difference in what a price guide says it's "worth" and what a buyer will "pay" you for it. at under $100 plus grading/shipping it is now worth over $100 and probably can't be sold at any break even point despite what a price guide says, unless I'm out of the loop and things have changed significantly. while I applaud you for learning how to differentiate the two types of reverses your one-step-forward education was negated by your two-steps-backward need to have PCGS rank/price the coin while telling you what you already knew-----that it was a Type 1 Reverse. come to think of it, you already knew what it was worth, under $100.
  • Nice double-up with change. It is nice to see the variety garnering some interest.

Not sure if that price guide valuation is based on the scruffy NGC 66 coin with the prominent lint mark that sold for $148 at Heritage or not.
I don't see any PC 66 coins that sold recently, but a PC67 sold for $400 on Oct 1, so it was probably worth sending it in and taking a shot.

Should take a look at recent Ebay auctions for the Type 1's Al...these things have been going nuts lately...especially in the flat packs.
