thank you for your opinion BlackSmoke. I feel that every coin that is dipped or put into acetone has been altered/cleaned but seems to be more common than I thought.
<< <i>fade to black I sent you a private msg and asked you to PM concerning things other than what the post is about. I see this is to hard for you to understand. You at one point in your now Omnipotent knowledge base needed to ask questions. You are also saying people who do not have as much knowledge as you are not welcome here and that is very sad that you say such things. Then you make a veiled threat about the moderators and that is very inappropriate and you your self need to understand yes it is a privilege to post here. Why do you feel it is your job to dissuade me from posting and replying on this forum, are you the head moderator and owner of the board? Quit being nasty and putting it in posts where it does not belong. >>
Don't worry about fadetoblack. These threads are very educational for others and I do enjoy them. He obviously has some time on his hands, and the nerve to call out people like you willing to learn. Just brush it away. And keep it up.
I agree with you Coins299 it is people like him that make the coin collecting world for newer people less enjoyable. This is a place to learn and that is what I am doing as it is said the only stupid question is the one you don't ask! Some people do not have the time to spend to LURK (creepy) around and read every post that has ever been posted here. I think new people ar what keeps things alive and lively. We revisit topics that have been discused but things change every day and new people join every day and a new perspective could be brought to an old subject. If everyone just LURKED (still creepy) around everything we would never have the technology that allowed some one to come up with the Idea of using the lining of a cows heart to make a aortic valve that saved my life. So there you mean people!!!!!
Didn't you pretty much start this thread with an anxiety to spank mostly men coin collectors? And lurking is creepy??? Just sayin... Third party perspective and glad you pulled through with the matter of the heart.
Don't worry tradedollar, I'm sure the Chinese will be selling 5 minute life intervals soon just for situations like this.
Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Hey BlackSmoke that is not what that was about see it was edited. I edited it because I had my answer then I was asked to put the pics back and then people wanted to post personal attacks instead of dealing with the coins and questions pertaining to the coins. I am a man and have no issues with collectors who are men and no desires to spank men lol

You can talk about beating dead horses, but there also the old saying about leading them to water.
I been kicked in the shins many times in this hobby and used those instances as learning experiences. Before the Internet was even twinkle in Al Gore's eye I was lucky enough to have a couple of coin dealers mentor me when I was a teenager.
At least I hope that some newbies have learned that pink and red are not a good colors for old, worn copper coins.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
