Came across something today that I would have incorrectly guessed. Let's see how the rest of you do:

What US bank has the largest market capitalization?

No cheating, no google, just spit out your gut feeling on this, as usual my gut was wrong.

    Wells Fargo, I would guess. BofA and Citi used to be bigger but I don't think they recovered all of it after the crash.

    It's got to be Chase. They're everywhere and will loan you any amount, anytime provided you have one thing, a good credit report.

    Can't be JPM, Citi, BoA, GS based on how derryb phrased the question. Those are the obvious biggies. WFC is not as big as those guys in notional derivatives but maybe in housing, etc.
    I know how to take a hint.

    I remember hearing a couple of months ago that Wells Fargo was the Worlds biggest bank. (or something like that.)
