Excuse me but those coins are all used! That means they changed hands back in the 19th century and who knows where those hands have been. Personal hygiene was not what it is today. Back then people washed their hands like once in a while, maybe. Why, one of those coins may even have been used to buy the favors of an unclean girl at a bawdy house! Good thing those coins are all in sealed plastic holders.

Thanks for sharing these. Would love to see larger photos by someone like Todd or Mark Goodman or Tom Bush and get to see both sides. I checked your registries but didn't see any photos of the group yet.
Anyway, that's just a wish to see more. Are any of the slabs consecutively numbered?

Excellent points and suggestions. Most of the coins have photos, and they can be seen here. Some are professional photos, some are Heritage scans; some are good, others not so good.
I am glad that you have brought up consecutively numbered slabs because part of the "hobby within the hobby (within the hobby )" for me is finding coins that were submitted together 15 years ago or more. To wit, the 1880's, the 1864-S's, the 1884-CC's, the 1869-S's, and the 1890-CC's are pairs of coins that were submitted together, based on the proximity of the cert #'s with one another.
