What and where would you go?

Alright, I've got a tight timeline here. I am one coin shy on my basic 15 coin gold type set, my first un-born child is due this Tuesday. It was my goal to complete this set before he comes to the world. Where would you go online to look for that one coin you really hope to obtain?! I found one on Heritage in an NGC holder that I would cross over, and already hit the buy it now, but who knows if that transaction will go through.

Teletrade, Heritage, eBay, Collectors Corner, any others?!

Thanks everyone! image

If you don't care about the coin, and depending upon the type that you need, you could likely buy it nearly anywhere. I guess I am not understanding the quandary since completion of the goal seems trivial compared with all else.

  • Congrats! the little one will most likely refocus your priorities. Until then, try a WTB on the BST boards as well.

I don't know why you need to complete the set before your child is born. Unless it's something easy, like a St. Gaudens $20 gold, haste could result in an unwise purchase. Which type coin do you need exactly, and what is the grade range? These things would affect my answer.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Relax, you have at least a week, maybe two, to find your coin.
