No would be my first response.

Unless every card has those same print marks/stains, then I'd say they're the same.

The real question is how did the "8" get and "8"????
  • MiniDuffMiniDuff Posts: 1,241 ✭✭✭
Was going to say exactly that. How in the world, does that pile of crap, with staining, notching and 4 weak corners get an 8?

I think the 6 looks better than the 8. Not the same car IMO but it does shows that a 10 cent investment in a black piece of paper taped to the top of a scanner can go along way.
  • Upper left corner bend was flattened.

I'm in the "no" camp. The PSA 8 is clearly a diamond cut while the PSA 6 seems to be parallel to the top and bottom of the holder guides. The marks on the left border, while apparently identical, are not terribly uncommon. I would present 1975 Topps Mini #564 as evidence...the same dark staining, or print defect, appears to be 'bleeding' down from the upper left area on about 75% of the 20 or so examples I have. That is not the only example - just a good one - to show that print defects are repetitive and seemingly identical.

    Just my opinion.

It's just tilted in the holder. Same card.

I guess if someone "cleaned up" the PSA 6 card it could be the same card. I see a mark on the PSA 6 just to the bottom left of the top baseball on the red side that is not on the other card.

If not the same, I'd say the 6 looks better.

Sure looks like the same card. If it is, and it wasn't trimmed between 6 and 8 (which it doesn't appear to be), I have no problem with the bump.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • Doesn't look the same to my eye, the corners on the 8 though are more worthy of that 6 though.
