Bosch sounds like a grade A loser to me. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns up "missing" if he betrays that many people with serious money.
I've been preparing Maven for awhile now that Nellie might be suspended, LOL. I think she's prepared for it. Too bad he couldn't have been suspended for the 9th inning of Game 6 against the Cardinals in the World Series
I think MLB's CBA allows for suspensions WITHOUT a positive test results due to language amounting to "all players are prohibited from using, possessing, selling, facilitating the sale of, distributing, or facilitating the distribution of any Drug of Abuse and/or Steroid."
I knew N. Cruz was juiced when the Rangers beat the Tigers in the ALCS a few years back! That guy was raining HRs no matter where the pitch was, pathetic. BTW I am sure Melky is not the only juiced player on the Giants - what a stain on the game. Arod is sitting on 1/2 of a 10 year 275 million dollar contract, if I were the Yankees I would be contacting the best lawyers in the world to sue his lame arse.

I do feel for the kid here. Mostly because of what she'll hear from others. School kids can be, cruel, in their picking. Not to mention geniuses on TV. And when you're a REAL fan of a player regardless of age, you can't turn that off. As an adult, our arguments about guys like Bonds, Palmeiro, McGwire get hurtful, spiteful and downright mean. I suppose if steroids had been an issue when I was growing up, and say my fave Lance Parrish were implicated and someone had said something off hand to me I'd have earned every minute of a solid 1 week suspension.
I have a feeling that if every player in baseball that ever used PEDs were to be banned, we'd be left watching single A ball, LOL..

According to ESPN, the following players might face suspension: Ryan Braun, Everth Cabrera, Melky Cabrera, Francisco Cervelli, Bartolo Colon, Nelson Cruz, Fautino de los Santos, Gio Gonzalez, Yasmani Grandal, Fernando Martinez, Jesus Montero, Jordan Norberto, Jhonny Peralta, Cesar Puello and Alex Rodriguez. Sources told ESPN that Gio Gonzalez received only legal substances. ESPN also notes that Cesar Puello is a minor leaguer and not a member of the MLB Players Association.

I'm not a fan of Selig, like at all, but when the system is set up as a legal monopoly, it just is what it is. The MLBPA can take issues to mediation when it involves players but as a check and balances for the fans, we can only voice our displeasure with our wallets.

Absolutely correct. Oversight in leaving off the media. . Hopefully the players that used, and have been called out/busted the last 6, 7 years are using their money wisely. Because it's all they've got. They lost fans, integrity. Records that were broken that most now know are tainted. It's not sad, it's not tragic. It's more of a greed complex these guys have IMO.
You wonder if the marketplace for AROD RC's has already taken his assumed PED use into account for current pricing. If so, I am not sure you will see a sharp drop in prices if there is a long term suspension, but rather a steady decline over time.
On a related note, I am bullish on Sammy Sosa RC's. I think in the long run fans will remember him more fondly, particularly with regards to the '99 HR chase. You can pick up Donruss, Fleer, Topps, Score, Upper Deck Sosa RC's in bargain bins for 25 cents or less. I picked up about 100 various RC's, including the Topps Debut 89, for 10 cents each at a show last year. At prices that low, a steady increase over time might yield some nice returns.

Is anyone really shocked by this ARoid/Braun revelation? Really?
As to Pujols... I saw both him and Yadi here in minor league ball. Molina pretty much looks the same IMO, but Albert's definitely been using something... Now, with all the hubbub he might have stopped, which might account for his good but not great numbers with the Halos... but (even as a Card fan who actually liked him when he was there)... it's pretty unlikely he's clean.
<< <i>I just read over the list of the 20 players that apparently used this clinic for steriods.
19 of the 20 players are Latino. Anyone else notice this or find that strange? >>
Does this mean that Braun is the only non-latino in that group?
BTW I am disappointed in Peralta if he is indeed guilty and that probably explains more of his incredulous .333 batting average this year and continues to reveal the tremendous advantage these drugs give to players in this particular sport. In some ways, a baseball season is more like the tour de France than it is Football. Day to day endurance is a critical advantage Peralta on PED would be akin to the advantage Lance Armstrong had...all sickening to true fans - hope the Tigers dump that POS
I think the trend amongst latino players has more to do with their poverty-stricken backgrounds. These guys aren't entering baseball with dreams of being the next Hank Aaron or major record holder, they're entering the league in hope of scoring a really large contract and being "set for life" in 5 or 10 years.

19 of the 20 players are Latino. Anyone else notice this or find that strange?
Always buying Bobby Cox inserts. PM me.

Think it has anything to do with the clinic being in Miami?

Does this mean that Braun is the only non-latino in that group?
BTW I am disappointed in Peralta if he is indeed guilty and that probably explains more of his incredulous .333 batting average this year and continues to reveal the tremendous advantage these drugs give to players in this particular sport. In some ways, a baseball season is more like the tour de France than it is Football. Day to day endurance is a critical advantage Peralta on PED would be akin to the advantage Lance Armstrong had...all sickening to true fans - hope the Tigers dump that POS
