How would you describe this coin now that it is in hand? Particularly the surfaces and the color.

Surfaces are prooflike.Protected areas around devices are clearly reflective.Die polish lines visible in the protected areas.

The color is lighter in hand, slightly green-ish cast.Color looks more like the slab photo.

This along with a 55C (which I will attempt to post) are my first Southern Branch mint gold .

Looks quite nice. I'm just learning about southern gold--the price guides seem to suggest that it's relatively tough to find C, D and O mints in AU.

It is a decent to very nice coin but I am not sure what it has to do with dirty gold.
