APMEX just listed ASE for $27.77

Is this a sign of dropping spot prices or less demand?

Both, plus a drop in price from their supplier.

Their price is adjusting with SPOT, just saw it at $27.70

    I see a dip coming.

Yep..... selling into a dropping metals market can be dicey...but a lot depends on original acquisition price. Cheers, RickO

Four bucks over spot for ASE's, but if someone wants .999 silver and will accept any shape or form, buy all you want at $1.49 over spot, currently $25.18 Same company (APMEX)

On the other hand, if "it must be Engelhard", you're still paying Over $30 per ounce there

  • It's not just paper metal dropping in price. 10oz silver bars are now available for immediate delivery for under $250 at Provident. I don't recall them that cheap even when silver hit its low a month ago.

Since there's no rush to buy, the sellers - led by refiners who have been working like mad for four weeks - will try to dump their stock as quickly as possible. We may even see physical selling at a discount to paper, as happened in the late 90's and early 2000s.

It's down to $27.39..any quantity. APMEX must feel that silver spot will continue to drop.
