Nice racks, David! (In a cardboard kind of way, that is...)
Many of you know I am partial to 1975 racks, so here are a couple more...seems like mini racks are scarcer than hen's teeth to find...if anyone has one for sale, please PM me..
'75 Ryan...possiby my favroite card from the 1975 set..
Felix Milan on top..
And last, this one is for aconte, Hernandez RC on top..

I've nearly been fired about 10 different times this week because of this very thread. Can't get enough of the pictures, compadres. Who's up to bat next?
Marc - I'm digging the '81-'90 run! Interestingly enough, my eyes were fixated on '90 Leaf. I've always liked the look of those cards, and boy were those boxes scorching back in the day. There was nothing quite like pulling The Big Hurt from a Series II pack.
E to a: I also spy '92 Fleer Ultra.....I eviscerated a number of those packs as well!
Since others have already cheapened the thread with lowly 80s and 90s items, I feel okay chiming in. These are a few of my favorite unopened packs with stars showing.
1989 Donruss Canadian (10 cards instead of 15, otherwise the wrapper is the same) (w/ Griffey RC showing)
1985 Leaf (w/ Clemens RC showing)
I've also got a 1987 O-Pee-Chee with a Bonds rookie showing but never scanned it and now my scanner is on the skidz. Another cool one is an 87 OPC with Kirby Puckett on top and Nolan Ryan on back.
Arthur, I know you are a partial to OPC wax, so here's a short run for you..

I have contention with your words, sir. Why is it "cheapened" even if its keeping consistent with the thread? In fact - this thread was about the 82 boxes from a case and has turned (somehow) into a Pete Rose unopened cello and rack packs thread. I have no issue with seeing these packs under any circumstances, but I dont feel seeing stars on tops or bottoms of packs from any year cheapens it, but gives it more flavor. You may be saying it in jest, but my knee-jerk reaction was you were thumbing your nose at some of it. I personally like this stuff, even your 89 Griffey pack. It's Good stuff!
<< <i>ure he put up great numbers but he wasnt an A List player no more than Eddie Murray was. I'm saying he was and always will be Clementes shadow >>
Stargell was an A player in the 70's, but then again who wouldn't be in Clemente's shawdow? I can tell you after Clemente's death, Stargell took the ball and ran with it.

Mygotta, I was just being self-deprecating. I thought posting an 89 Donruss pack would have made that obvious. All of my unopened boxes/cases are 1981-1990. That was the stuff I collected as a kid so that's the unopened I enjoy collecting the most now. Perhaps us lowly 80s collectors should start our own thread.

It certainly has been more talked about in recent threads than other stuff. It has the greatest growth potential than any other era at the moment, so there is a lot of attention given to it right now.
Likewise, my unopened run goes from 81-91ish. I dont have a complete run of wax. But I have something from every year up to 1993 actually.
Murray had 500+ home runs, and 3000+ hits, and was a clutch RBI guy. And he didn't take steroids to do it. He was an A list player from 1977-1990!
Looking to trade for, or purchase, raw or graded vintage for my baseball sets: 1927 York Caramel, 1951 Bowman, 1957 Topps, 1967-1979. http://richsbaseball.webs.com
I'm crashing this hardball party with the procurement of a little pigskin. I'd hate to calculate how many of these packs I busted back in the day, but I honestly do not ever recall seeing a wax rack box. In addition to loving this vanilla set more than I probably should, I've always gone against the grain and preferred these cards to be stuffed inside the baby blues of '79. Therefore, I had to have it. Oh how I love to utter that phrase to the girlfriend. It's like a death knell each and every time.

Or a 1971 Rack with Munson showing on the front and McCovey as the Header card and Niekro on the back:

David - that 70 rack with Bench and Rose on top is going to find it's way to my collection one day.

So we go from a 1970 rack with Bench and Rose on top to a 1989 Donruss pack with a Griffey. Very interesting. Nice "junk" wax pack.

I would rather see Griffey Jr showing then Jose Canseco!!!
And I'd rather see Ron Kittle showing then B list player Willie Stagell!!!

Are you saying Willie Stargell is a B list player?

I assumed he was kidding more than not. But the beers I had last night felt whatI wrote should be heard.
Its all good.

I ripped the last one but will keep these intact as I am not sure if my LCS has more from his case
I too find it cool they used the 79 wrappers and like that they are wax and not the tight cellos
I think you will indeed find them pretty delectable, D.....glad you were able to getcha some.
Speaking of '79, anyone have a BBCE FB box to flash?
