To forgive is to free a prisoner, and to discover that prisoner was you.

For that reason alone he goes on my black-list, it's called trolling for a sucker. Why do you think the picture is doctored up so much? To make you think there's something diferent about it. Isn't putting your phone number in an eBay auction a violation too?
He's not sure what the bar is worth so he set a high price and put the offer on there. He could let it run a whole month , look at the offers then relist it at an appropriate price.
Thats the way to do it if you aren't sure what the market price of something is. If you set a low price and it sells in 2 minutes you don't learn much.
Amazing this is being justified. Why not check complete listings if you're not sure what the current value is and list for say 20% more as a BIN with the BO option?
Listing it for more than 500% more than it's worth makes the seller look like anyone in the hobby would not want to do business with. jmho

Because there's a sucker born every minute. I'm much more experienced with sports cards, and have been the beneficiary of buying items listed for hundreds of dollars less than their worth, and have sold items for thousands more than their worth. It happens. It's ebay, everyone is out to make money...
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

He's come down to 379 .
I think he will knocking it down until it sells and if he does it slowly enough its an almost perfect way to discover price.
I've done the same thing with vintage car parts that are outside of my specific area i.e. ford broncos and mustangs.
I have to do the same this weekend with an intake manifold for a 1950's era Chrysler hemi . Its a rare piece but I don't have any idea what to ask. Is it a $1000 item or is it a boat anchor worth 14 cents a pound as number 1 scrap? 30 day buy now with a best offer is how you figure it out.
There is no harm in pricing something too high if you are willing to come down but if you price it too low and it sells in 3 minutes what did you learn?
Is it getting into a range where someone would forgo the offer process and just buy it ? Or is it worth $90 and he is still dreaming?
