Picked up 15 Argor Chiasso 2 oz. bars today

Was at the local dealer today and he had purchased 20 Argor Chiasso 2 oz. bars earler today, he said 5 of them were scratched up but 11 were sealed in plastic and 4 more were scratch free so I purchased the best 15 for $2 over spot. image

I have never put a picture up on this site or any site for that matter, would a digital microscope work ok for putting pictures on here and how would I transfer it to this thread?

Excuse me for my primative ways but when it comes to technology I am inept.

Northern Plains Coin? I know they had a few of these in the other day but none were in the sealed plastic.

Yes that's where I got them, they all came from the same guy who sold a few to them several days ago then came back a couple days later and sold the nicer ones including the ones sealed in plastic.

By all means, I have purchased several JM 5 gram bars from Northern Plain and Treasure Island in their old location plus a few JM 10 gram bars. Unfortunately the new Treasure Island isn't what it used to be and they refuse to let me see any old bars they get in instead selling them on e-bay so I refuse to do business there. Kind of stupid on their part as I have purchased over $100,000 worth of coins and bullion over the years from them but Greg isn't running the show any more as his kid is now in charge.

Greg at one point this year said if I ever needed a job to come see him. He has NO ONE up front that knows coins at all. Only Greg is allowed to pay more then melt on anything and hes in England for another week or two. I could only imagine what that does for business. Ive offered to buy poundage from them too, wont sell it. Prices are much better from Mark(NP Coin) too, TI was offering 19.3Xface while Mark was paying 21.7(or close to it).
  • Yeah the people they have working in front at the counters are incompetant to say the least. Of course some are family members which seems to be the top qualification for employment, Greg's brother went down south somewhere to start his own business cause he was so fed up with the way things were being run and he actually new alot, especially about paper money and WW2 memorabelia like Japanese and German daggers. Seems they would rather play the futures market (and that didn't work out so well) and be an online dealer than deal with the public.
