BUYING Frank Gotch T229 Kopec Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Are you sure there is oil and it's not just the two sides stuck together? Did you actually feel oil? I've had thousands of these and never had that problem.
STAY HEALTHY!

I know what you're talking about - I've noticed it, as well. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I would assume its used to reduce friction inside the card saver. I've never had an issue with it affecting a card surface, though.
Couldn't find specifically what kind of plastic Cardsavers are made of, but most plastic polymers like this are petroleum based plastic polymers, so its is entirely possible for small levels to leach out.
Looking to have some custom cuts or plain custom cards built? PM me.

I've always changed the oil inside my CS1 holders at 7,500 miles and never had a problem.
