Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

It's really humbling, as a matter of record.

Excellent! Unless Aki can use the computer, it would appear that MrE is still alive today.

DID give me a job once, right after I got laid off in the 2008 downturn. I did a few eBay consignments for him. Doing consignments isn't really my cuppa tea, but I did have fun with his.
...is shameless! And if nobody else is going to "ttt" this thread, dammit...

And is still alive!
Andy is one of the great stalwarts of the collecting hobby, has handled so many amazing coins, and is a great person in general!
It's great to have him in the hobby and on the forums!
... and yes, still alive, 9 years after this thread started!

Could someone link the post regarding Larry Briggs? I could not locate it using the search feature. Thanks in advance.
Fact: I met Andy many years ago at a trade and grade in Vegas, and I always have wanted to go back and have dinner with him.
I was exhausted at the November 2024 Baltimore show and was afraid to buy any coins with my eyes not good enough to view any mint state coins. Sat down with Andy and saw his pile of raw circulated Peace Dollars. I liked them a lot and he gave me a very reasonable price for the 1924 Peace Dollar I wanted to buy for my upcoming grandson who was born just two days ago. Really cool to be an owner at age 0 of a 100 year old silver dollar!
My nicest J-2054 cent pattern was sold by Andy to me over 10 years ago and it later received highest grade CAC sticker grade.
Andy knows patterns better than anyone.
His buddy Robert Rhue is also a great guy.
… is a smart fella.
...has the best business card I've ever seen.
Andy has been a personal friend for over 40 years. We have conducted tons of business. His expertise in U.S. Pattern coinage is unmatched. I want to publicly thank him for sharing his knowledge and for being part of Mint Error News for over 20 years. Thanks Andy!
That's awesome.

Yes he is!
Always a great to meet up with Andy! A smart, helpful, and all around great guy!
This thread scared me, momentarily, until I opened it and saw the date and content.
I only met him once but he was very gracious and friendly.
He knows his coins and had a great inventory of really rare items.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Andy sold me the favorite non-US coin in my collection a few years ago at the FUN show. You just never know what cool coins you can find at his table....... always one of my first stops.
