Oh sure, would love to obtain more of them in that instance.
Right now, only if I get them for a base price at a pawn shop, etc.

Eagles. More widely known, much more widely traded unit.

Eagles are 1 ounce and have a $1 face value. ATBs are 5 ounces and have a...twenty-five cent face value image

ATBs are a silly mint novelty. My prediction: They'll be wholesaled at melt and melted en mass as they go the way of the SBA.

So that means in 50 years they'll probably be the hot collectible of the year. But I'll be dead by then.

I'm waiting for the Mint's colorized version. All they have to do is take a look at the Perth Mint', ahem, coins image

I have rolls of ASEs, I want a roll of the ATBs and will get one after the blown xmas funds reload.

ASEs would be preference I guess for divisibility in lieu of 5oz/time, but a small stack of ATBs is impressive despite that stupid face value BS.

    ASEs.

ATBs are round bars from a reputable source.

There's no comparison to the SBA's and don't hold your breath for them to sell at melt.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

No. They are congressionally authorized legal tender US Mint struck coins just like the ASE's. You may not like them but calling them "round bars" makes you sound ignorant.

I like anything that's .999 silver. To me they are round bars from a reputable source. I would pay no more than just a tad more than I would for a .999 5 oz. bar, only because of where they originate.

The bullion versions were meant to be same premium as the ASE. that's how I thought, as well as a bunch of other pissed off folks.

Derry is right though, very small premium for origination...like an ASE.

I like the ATB look. Its different and really gets someone's attention that isnt a coin collector.

If I was to stack just one, it would be the ASE.

I collect one ATB from the mint each release, but stack ASE for investment.

don't get me wrong, they are excellent for a silver investment, just not as excellent as the ASE.

I have never regretted on holding on to mine, along with every bullion issued one since. Not interested in the so called "collectors" version, to high a premium above melt just like the burnished ASE's.

I like the smaller ASEs, but like derryb - that doesn't mean I don't like the ATBs, because I do. I just don't know quite what to do with them.
