I knew it would happen.
The Trivium coin is so nice I made my icon
Loves me some shiny!
Wouldn't a similar coin with a US twist have an Obama figure in slave shackles?
I'd also find that disrespectful.

How dare you associate that inbred hag with the 2nd coming! Just kidding. Never thought of the perspective of those still under British rule.
There IS plenty of extra silver each year. Investors bought 160 Moz in 2011.
Just think what would if they did not fashion it into shapes we want to buy.
So please do your share and buy physical...ok...Thanks!

I definitely find calling the Queen an "inbred hag" highly offensive, moreso than the first post.
Sorry, that's the way I feel.

I do however respect the fact that this Chris Duane is using a popular medium to express ideas that he may hold true.
Whether or not I believe in those ideas are besides the point.

I think you're a little off-track with your 'hypersensitivity' comment.
There wouldn't be such 'real issues to deal with' if we had more old time respect, honor and ethics back in our society.
I know one thing, if the designer of this coin had some old time 'respect' in him, he wouldn't have carved this coin in the first place.

Yep. Me too.
The round is neat and is how many working class feel...

We Americans have never stood for royalty and the European royalty were for the most part anything but royal, but taken in the context of an evolving culture, the not so distant past seems a marked improvement over the present.
As for that coin, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
I knew it would happen.

I smell opportunity.
Think I will double my order!

If there is a controversy or a buzz of some sort it usually pushes up the selling price on venues like ebay .
If you could buy these for $32 and get $50 apiece at a show or on ebay why not?
There is silver for stacking and silver for flipping . Resell the flippers roll the profits back into the stack . Lather rinse and repeat .
I knew it would happen.
We also know (or should know) that with rights come responsibilities. That means he should be prepared for a backlash and deal with the consequences should one occur. He makes his bed, he lies in it. He's good with that, I'm good with it, too.
FWIW, the philosophy behind his pieces is support of the American Open Currency Standard (affiliated with the Liberty Dollar), whose primary mission is simply this: The AOCS exists to expedite the implementation of metal as money.

That's a cause many if not most of us here support. Just something more to chew on.

Doing a little searching on ebay I found this from the last issue from them , debt and death
100$ an ounce for the half proof
On the other hand by lot BU's
60$ an ounce
down to
34.50$ an ounce
here are 2 odd listings that are from different sellers but the description is the same
$70 with high feedback
low feedback stolen listing maybe?
some guys are doubling their money on these and the half proof half BU doesn't add much so probably just get the BU if you are going to do it.
It looks like it might be a decent flip .
I'll pass on this example of poor taste.
