    Genuine, scratched

yep, unfortunately ... no matter how old, those are too deep and too noticable to warrant a straight grade IMO

otherwise, she is a decent looking coin with nice color and VF details

editted to add; 1810's have some notorious strike deficiencies. Without the scratches, I'd say this one would be at least a VF20

I'm going to assume the OP was interested in opinions on the technical grade of the coin.....so ignoring the scratches and
areas of strike weakness, I would say VF20-25.

    I would guess that's a VF20.

102a...I agree with the VF technical grade. Overton notes strike weakness at the chin....

If it weren't scratched, I bet our favorite TPG would call it F15... but again, the scratches prevent it from receiving a numeric grade.

    Good evening, everyone:

Excepting the scratches, the OP's coin is an extremely close match to the photo of the F-12 bust half in the ANA's Grading Standards (6th ed.) The ANA's example is an 1810 to boot!

I'm in the 20 camp but for the scratches. This variety just wasn't struck as well as it should have been.

Coin flip for F15 or VF20. It's a shame about the scratches.

I agree it's right on the F/VF line. The strike weakness makes it a tough call.

Fine - Very Fine sharpness, but scratched. I say that is worth "fat VG" or "Thin Fine" money.

VF-25 details, scratched. I would give this a Net grade of Fine-12.

By the way, really nice images.
