Not a show, but I did drive approximately 6 and a half hours for a numismatic party (seriously) at a friends house. I'd have flown but there was no nearby airport or meaningfully easier way to do it.
The ride home was a hoot, since I accidentally knocked out one contact lens while passing by the meadowlands and drove the last 4+ hours with one eye open.
One year the New England Numismatic Association (NENA) held their annual convention at the Samerset Resort in Maine. For those who don't realize it Maine is a lot bigger than it seems on the map. After driving through Massachusetts and New Hampshire, my wife and I could not believe how long it too us to reach the convention site in Maine.
I fly to the more distant shows.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
I drove from L.A. to Sacramento in Spring 2011 for the Sacramento ANA show. It was right around 400 miles or so. Boring drive! But it was a pretty good show.
300 miles one way. Last Summer's ANA show in Chicago. Stayed 3 hours and drove back home to central Ohio. Started at 4am, got back home at 10pm. That's the last time I do that!
Well only been to coin shows here in Fargo, so about 3/4 of a mile from my house....Thats if you dont count going to FUN this last January. Just happened to be in Orlando, what a coincidence. Wife doesnt know I kind of planned our vacation that way.
Edit to add
Furthest Ive driven was when I was in high school. Drove from Mobridge, SD to Alaska, also drove from Ellendale, ND to Miami, FL. That was back in the day when it was cheaper to drive then fly.
Considering that the FUN show was a crucial factor in choosing to go to school in Orlando, you could argue for nearly 1500 miles or 24 hours from Maine to Orlando.

Bill you weren't halfway down the coast yet. From most of Southern Maine, NYC is closer than say, Fort Kent or Presque Isle. I've only driven from Portland to Boston, but I fly to Baltimore and Orlando.
Wow, I can't compete with Tim Puro (1,306.8 miles), but I did ride (not drive) with a friend from Knoxville, TN to Atlanta, GA to an ANA Summer Convention a few years back.
And I'm not sure what Bill Jones is talking about when he says that "One year the New England Numismatic Association (NENA) held their annual convention at the Samerset Resort in Maine. For those who don't realize it Maine is a lot bigger than it seems on the map. Why, anyone knows that Rockport, Maine is just down the road a piece, 'downeast' as they like to say in these parts. And no place in Maine is too far to travel if there is lobstah for dinner. Ayuh.

Round trip from Central N.Y. to Pittsburgh and back, all on the same day. This after having had a previous experience earlier in life of having fallen asleep at the wheel late at night on a major highway. Never again.
St. George, UT to the Long Beach, CA shows. About 400 miles

In 1990 I drove to the ANA in Seattle. The total trip was 8544 miles. I took a sight seeing trip along the way of the entire Northwest quadrant of the U.S. I think I drove the farthest to a coin show. What did I win?

I drove from Fresno (middle of CA) to Colorado Springs for Summer Seminar and attended the show. I guess that counts.
A little less than 300 miles. Coin show or not I generally don't drive to places more than 250 miles away unless there are no other feasible options.
