Precious Metals to nice to be called Porn... Friday Newps

Well I made a couple runs to the local BST and low and behold he had some new stuff in that caught my eye.
I ended up getting the American Gold very close to melt the first day, Score!
The next day I went back and he asks me if I like World Silver Coins. I said I'd be happy to look but most of the time it's a harder sell because of the various purities.
First thing that caught my eye when I get the tray is the Spanish Reales,
As I'm looking, I realize that most of the coins are .900 and .925
I'll let the pictures do the talking from here but needless to say, I scored the entire lot for Sterling melt.
How cool is this, a counter stamped Un Sol, 1868, looks like a half reale stamped in the middle
And here are a couple toners I pulled out the lot,

Half an hour after she was supposed to check in, I text her. She texts back that she ended up selling it to them for the same price I offered and that she was sorry, "not sure how it happened". She said she went in, got offered an extremely low price, turned to walk out. The other dealer there realized that she had a better offer, got the info out of her, matched it and convinced her to sell to them rather than to me. She even said she didn't like the guy (the second dealer, he is kind of an ass at times), but ended up selling it any way.
Not sure if she mentioned me by name (this shop and I have a decent relationship), but I am sure he talked down about me and/or vest pocket dealers in general to get her to sell to them. If she had gone in without doing her research and/or contacting me, she'd have ended up taking that first low ball offer. Kinda sickening. She said she'll keep me in mind for her other coins, but by the sounds of it they probably aren't worth much at all.

That's called, being prepared to take advantage of the situation that presents itself. It's hard to do on the fly sometimes, but if you can, it pays off the way it did for you usually. Nice job!
Nothing to add this week for me, i'm selling and raisng some cash. What I did buy hasn't arrived yet.
