A priority mail large flat rate box filled with cards

Would it weight under 20lbs? They are in sleeves and surrounded by bubble wrap. I ask because I need to ship 2k cards to canada and I am hoping they would weight under 20lbs so they can be shipped cheaply

    put em on a scale
  • yeah I don't have a scale big enough for them
  • bring it to the post office. Or use a flat rate box.
  • My plan was to use a flat rate box but the issue is shipping priority mail to Canada in a flat rate box is the limit is 20 lbs.

If you have a regular scale (to weigh yourself), weigh yourself first, then weigh yourself again carrying the box of cards, and subtract the difference.
  • dont have one of those either

Count out 1000 cards, weigh them, multiply the weight by two.

If your scale can't handle 1000 cards, count out 500 cards, multiply the weight by four.

Drop them in a tub and see how much water they displace. Multiply by 8 pounds per gallon and divide by pi. Round up the remainder and tape that many Loonies to the box, but ship via Tim Horton's Donuts.

  • after reading the investment thread - probably best to not ship the 2000 cards and use them as firewood 20 years from now...

pack them up and take them to the PO. most PO's have ATM like postage machines that have scales. just go through the drill on the touch screen and you will get to a weight at some point.

2,000 cards weigh less than 20 pounds. 2,000 cards should weigh around 15 pounds. A case of 10,800 cards comes in at around 75 pounds, and an 800 count factory set at around six pounds (or less).

    You are safe.
