Speaking of Mexican silver...

I just read the thread regarding Mexican Libertads, and it reminded me of some old Mexican silver my grandmother had given me in the early 80s. All three coins are pictured below, and it appears two are sterling .925 silver while the other is .720 silver. I usually stick to Eagles and Maples when buying gold or silver bullion, but these coins bring back childhood memories, and I'm thinking of trying to add more to my collection.

Obviously, the two onza coins contain one ounce of pure silver, but what about the cien pesos piece? Does anyone buy these in quantity for bullion purposes? Do the onzas trade at spot? And are counterfeits an issue with these now?

I love the onzas. A big silver coin with a coin press on it. As for the values of Mexican pieces, it's not very widely known, but...

Coinflation has Mexican silver & gold values, too

The Onzas contain one full ounce of silver. They are sterling fineness but do contain the full ounce pure. Una Onza troy de Plata Pura = One ounce troy pure silver
