New images from Todd at BluCC

I had the opportunity to meet with Todd at the Dallas ANA this weekend and he photographed a few pieces of mine. I went with the basic ebay style imaging with no editing. All images are straight from his camera and the only changes I have made were cropping and resizing. He has a talent for bringing the details to life.

Fantastic-What kind of camera and lens did he use? Would love to beable to take pics like that-but don't want to spend a $20 St. Gaudens to do it. Sigh.

I will be honest - I didn't peek behind the curtain to examine his setup. I know he is leagues ahead of me in imaging so I decided to take in the Dallas ANA show while he worked his tricks.

Zohar - these pics might have excited me more than a new piece for the collection.

Sadly I'm not familiar with any of these but they're sure neat to look at.
I noticed the Eye of Providence (all seeing eye) on the 1682 Salzburg taler and 1781 Eichstadt taler.
Interesting as this symbol has been used since ancient Egypt, and still used today.
    Nice pieces!

I was amazed by the detail and relief on these pieces. Just amazing considering the age.

It is items like these that are the reason you won't hear me complain about my job.

A little interesting piece of trivia on the 1787 Regensburg piece: at the grading company ATS, only 2 talers from German States, Austrian States, and Swiss Cantons in the pre 1800 period have received the MS-60 grade. This is 2 out of a total 2,950 graded pieces. I realize the one above is graded by our host, but unfortunately I do not have the population stats from PCGS readily available.
