This example IMHO is ALL there for the assigned grade and is a really nice example of the "God Our Trust" type.

FWIW, the coin was bronzed at the Mint, and was therefore "BN" the day it was made.

Interesting anecdote, Andy. Makes me wonder why this copper pattern would have been bronzed.
Did the Mint bronze other, later copper patterns, such as the 1878 J-1553, or could this have been a capricious order of Pollock ?
