Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

<< <i>better if you bought it without the sticker >>
Bought what? You mean the coin? Who cares about the coin, it's a GOLD STICKER!!!!!
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.

Without the sticker, I'm assuming that coin is probably under graded and is really an MS-64 or 64+ R&B. Under those conditions I'd say $75 to $80 retail.
With the gold all bets are off because of speculators. To me it would be really maxed out at $100, but if a "true believer" paid $150 to $175, I would not be surprised.

Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
Then the sticker collectors will be all over it.
IMHO, the coin is probably only worth MS64+ money, which in RB, ain't that much. Maybe, just maybe $200.
Yes, better to max out the stickers.

<< <i>Anyone have an opinion on the value of such an item?? >>
Its a very nice coin and the holder will add some value as will the gold sticker. But to be perfectly honest it looks no better than a 64 or 64+ from these pics. I say that because the feathers dont look to be fully struck out and that should limit the grade to 64, that opinion could change with a better obv pic thats not tilted. Now as to value all bets are off in an auction format like ebay, because of the gold sticker and old holder I could easily see this hitting $150.

It was not an unpleasant surprise to see copper instead of gold, though. 'Tis indeed a beautiful newp you have there.
