I'm surprised that the Mint has not repriced their silver products as of yet. Only a matter of time, I would guess.

If Gold or Platinum remain in their current price range, can we expect another increase next week?

  • the gold eagles just went to : This product is temporarily unavailable for product repricing.

platinum still showing available at $100 cheaper ($1892), but not for long I'm sure . . .

Perhaps yesterday's sell off and today's down has something to do. I suspect that the Mint feels, like I do, that there are more corrections to come. Plat. was spurred on by the S. African miners strike, but now the strike is over, and with world wide demand for that metal depending mostly on mufflers...oh well, it doesn't take a chart to come up with the same conclusion.image

If Gold & Platinum does not recover by next Wednesday....look for a reduction.
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
  • for two days now, Gold has been about $5 below the price that would trigger a $50 reduction

Platinum though is still much higher than what would cause a reduction to occur. to get a $100 reduction in Platinum prices, it would have to hit $1540 or lower for the next 4 sessions ($42 lower than it is now)
