sorry for the lack of weekly updates everybody, I've been on vacation with no access to the internet. Try it sometimes, it's really weird!
I see the mint has a new pricing sheet, but they have neglected to show the Criteria at the beginning as they have in the past. link to US Mint pricing sheet
appears the gold JFK saw a 37.50 price increase today. Strange that it was the only gold to see an increase. Oops, spoke to soon, other gold products went up on Thursday 8/14

OK, so I have a bit of catching up (I had very limited access over the holidays . . . hope you all had a great holiday as well)
Bottom line, Gold & Platinum prices are the same today as they were when I posted 3 weeks ago . . .

Platinum avg: $1134.80 (down $22.60); Criteria #2 (change); APE (proof) $1500 (2014 coin out of Stock; 2015 coin release date TBD)
last week I learned something that makes a big difference in the way the Mint prices their precious metal coins.
They stopped using the AM (10:30 London time) price for the average, and now use the PM (15:00 London time) close price.
Why this is different is because when they used the AM London price to compute the average, it allowed them (if needed) to change the price fairly early in the day here, due to the time change between London and USA.
By using the London close (15:00) that is 10:00 Eastern here, so prices won't change until after that time.
This typically doesn't matter, unless what happens is what we had last week:
AM average = $1200.61 PM average = $1193.07
so the Gold price DID go down last week:
Gold avg: $1193.07; Criteria #2 (change); AGE (proof) $1510
