Fess up. You look at a coin.

You say to yourself, "Hey...neat."
Then you look again and see the itsy bitsy surface marks and say, "Maannnnnnn, I just don't know...dannngg."
Then you look the next day and say, "All I'd ever see is that atom sized carbon spot."
Then you wait a few days and look again and ...IT.... says, "Sold."
Then you say, "Aw NOOOO, ....MY.... coin is GONE!!!"

It would have to be an otherwise *very* special coin that was original and very rarely seen original and otherwise problem-free in that grade. Otherwise, to me it's an easy pass. If my eyes are drawn to it right away, they probably always will be.

If I had to look twice I am saying thanks I missed stepping in it again.

I've been much better about second guessing myself. If I hesitate, I know the coin isn't for me.

On the bright side, it's hard to get buried in a coin that doesn't meet your standards if this happens a lot.

Not me. I am not in a hurry to buy anything in the current market. A lot depends on what you collect. For me, I don't see much material that interests me in the first place. I find that is is much easier to buy a bad coin than be patient and wait for one that sings to you.

For that matter, it's hard to get buried in a coin if you do not but it. Period.

Obviously you are not buying from forum approved Super Dealers who would NevER clutter up their inventory with a coin with a spot.

Don't worry you will find a nicer example for $20 less in the near future.

OP was about coins that are satisfactory but you just debate whether worth getting.

Coors my age is a factor too. Whadda I need MORE stuff for?
