    Doing well so far....

80 Topps FB - Nothing amazing. Cszonka and some gradeable commons.

85 Topps FB - Marino, Montana, Elway, Dorsett (2x), and more nicely centered commons.

84 Topps FB - Rickey Jackson RC... PSA 9 perhaps?

Still have 1 84 cello and the rack pack to go.

84 - No Marino or Elway. Did get a Darrell Green, Eric Dickerson, Jackie Slater Rcs, and some other decent cards. The rack pack had some snow though.

    Overall, real happy.

    Notes:

The 85 Elway has a slight left edge surface lift.

The 84 Green has some weird staining.

    Enjoy!

    Received my 84 cello today.

    No Rookies
    No HOF's
    Most cards were OC

Good thing I had fun. Better luck next time I guess.

    Good Luck to everyone else.

Got my stuff today. 2 '81 cellos, 2 '82 cello and one '78 OPC wax pack.

One of the 82 cellos has Dave Righetti on top (kinda cool for a Yankee fan). I opened the other 82 cello. Rggie Jackson All Star and Rod Carew in Action was the extent of the star power. Conditon of the '82s was very nice with good centering throughout. They are the loose wrapped variety. Commons showing on the other cellos.

Thanks again to Mark for putting this together!!

I pulled a Elway rookie from my 2 racks.. that was pretty awesome.. not centered well but was worth the price of admission
even though overall I will only make back 1/4 of what I paid the thrill of seeing the big star rookie is why we do what we do.

the 83 topps cellos really brought me back.. that was my main purchase when I was 10 yrs old,, 1st time I have ripped any since..
I think I will be back for more

Thanks for putting together the rip. I got 2 packs of each of the 80, 81, 82, 84, 85, and 86 football. 80 was terrible, no stars kinda warped cards. 81 and 82 nice packs with no star power. 84-86 was pretty good. Here's the best.

Reading these is awesome. BBCE is great. Giving me the fever again.

It is unfortunate that as a society we can't trust anyone to get old wax from but Steve. But it is also nice that Steve is around to offer these amazing packs.

Here's an idea. American Sports Pickers. Two buddies go on the road to look and buy ouststanding collections! Actually I think there would be a lot of people watch a show if Steve Hart had a camera follow him around to all his purchases and misses!

    Still waiting on my packs.

I need a little help. I busted a 1986 Topps football vending box a few years ago from BBCE and need a few cards to complete my set.

    1986 Topps FB list

    #11, 131, 194, 293

I think #11 is Payton and will be happy to pay whatever you think is fair for these four cards shipped.

Molitor on top, Dale Murphy on back of one of the '82 Cellos.

    Thanks to all involved.

My 4 -'84 FB cellos yielded some star power but sadly most were either off center, titled or both (Marino)!

Maybe a handful of submitable cards including a Montana and few nice upgrades for my raw set.

I bought two 1981 Topps FB wax packs and came up with nothing.

However, I also bought two 84 topps fb cello packs and did pull these.

I keep my two 1984 Topps FB rack packs sealed for now.

Nope the Marino was about five or six cards down. It is just my crappy photo from my Iphone.

I was just surprised how well centered the back was and thought I would show that as well.

The only flaw on the card is being slightly O/C and in the top border there is a hint of black in the white border.

It is an 8.5 at least and probably a 9 in my opinion. Just my two cents.

Rats, I paid on Wednesday and still haven't gotten mine. It seems to take 1-2 days longer for BBCE packages to reach me than most people that pay the same day as I do for some reason. Silly USPS. Kind of worried that I'll be pulling a lot of commons because of all of the Marino/Elway packs that have already surfaced...

Still, I'm pumped that I am going to pull the lone '81 Topps Valenzuela RC, you just wait.
