Cool, i would like to hear what he really thought about his bear hunt in Alaska.

OUR house sits above our land and years ago while eating lunch we saw a group of scuffy hippies walking thru the pasture, so we got up and drove down to the pasture to see what was going on. My father was giving them quite a hard time about treaspassing and one guy says to my father something along the lines that one guy here is Kris Kisstoferson, Delbert Mcclinton, Sumpter Brutom and Jimmy Vahnan ( Butchered all those names) and 1 or 2 more musicians. They were in Fort Worth for some show. My dads reply was they all need to walk faster and get gone with a pistol pointed in their direction. I was hoping for a few autographs. LOL

I have long since realized that if political views come onto play you might not like your favorite artist/actor/musician. I grew up on Teds music and it is near and dear to my heart. I had the baddest car stereo money could buy at the time in my 70 Mustang and I must have pissed off a ton of people at the stop lights with it cranked up to God. For those who dont like his music you'll always have Kenny G. image

I agree. David Gilmour and Roger Waters; one is a technically proficient genius with not much to say, the other has a LOT to say but is a mediocre musician as far as playing (NOT writing) - but together....magic. One of them is impossible to separate from his political views. Kenny who? image

Ted did admit to trying to get out of being drafted. You know though for quite a few years Ted has been playing for free to our servicemen in war zones- this counts for something too in my book. Also wanted to comment on the picture from the girl from the pawn show- has she gained a 100 pounds since this show started! Wow!

He was just here at the county fair free stage. 1/2 music, 1/2 political meanness. Reminded me of the Dixie Chicks, and when they interjected politics into their act.

Enjoy, Jack. It's freedom of speech at work.

My favorite is "journey to the center of the mind" by the Amboy Dukes.

i tried to resist doing this, but i can't.

as a young kid growing up in the seventies and eighties, i loved ted nugent's music. but as i got older/wiser and learned more about him...i realized what a low life ego manic this guy truly is. put all the extreme-right-wing-hate-spewing-out-of-his-mouth antics aside and check out this video as on little nugget of proof (beware, potentially offensive language):

    ted nugent

he looks down on us "normal" people's "feeble [...] lives." what a jerk.

also, check out the pedophile-glorifying lyrics of his song "jailbait" as further proof of this guys twisted mind set. his legacy is trash and adds little or no value at all to society. he is a complete waste of talent. be sure to tell ted i said that too. i am sure he would just chalk me up as a communist loser...but i wouldn't want any respect from a person like him anyway.

At 180 pounds you are being generous. On the new season I would bet she is in the 200+ range. About Ted though he has alway's been outspoken in favor of the right- alway's! And he has alway's used colorful wording- this is just Ted being Ted. If you don't like him you can alway's listen to Boy George and such image. I am a strict republican but I like George Clooney asan actor and Alec Baldwin is another favorite although their political views are not. image

I really know nothing about his music, but understand he avoided military service, not for any moral or philisophical reason, but because it interfered with his party life. Like his music? Fine, but that's where his credibility ends with me.

What is so stomach turning about the video? These guy's are using Ted's signature to make money. I know some people make a living doing this. In my book these guy's are the ones that turn my stomach. And a percent of what Ted makes goes to children's charities.

How do you know the guys asking for autographs were doing it to make money ? Its Nugent that suggests that while sneering at their "feeble lives" , i don't hold Mr Nugent in any regard whatsoever after seeing his CBS interview last night where he offers to perform sex on both genders interviewing him , sure he thought it was funny...im not so sure the world did. He's an outdated dinosaur who was never that talented to begin with.

If you watched the linked video, look at the description below it where the video poster says to check out our autographed stuff for sale. Doesn't get any clearer than that.

<< <i>His view on the draft during the Viet Nam war were pretty much the norm towards the middle and end of that war.
Thousands of people were protesting the war, very few were supporters. Ted was just like 99.9% of all the other musicians at
the time, he was against the war. Please name one rock star who verbally supported the V.N. war (at the time). >>

Name one musician that went to the lengths nugent did to dodge the draft , it takes a special kind of hyprocrit/coward to dodge the draft and go on to say we should have nuked Saddam or pass comment on any military action.I recommend you read the October 1977 rolling stone interview to get a clear picture as to why he dodged the draft rather than any romantic notion cooked up since then.

He believed it his right to do drugs and avoid service , that's fine if that's your style. What bothered me about his many many ill advised comments was the gem about how he purposely decieved the process/recruiters and had the gall to say if he had went to vietnam he would have been the best soldier the US has ever seen , to me thats an insult to those who did serve.
