I knew Nugent was a polarizing figure, but did not expect it to infiltrate this thread. While I tend to agree with him politically, it make no differance to me while I watch him play guitar. I ignore his politics, as I do when I listen to Bruce Springsteen or watch an Alec Baldwin movie.
Apologies Arizona Jack , i meant no disrespect to you. I think the reason the thread took off in different directions is down to him being in the news rather a lot of late.

Jack, obviously you have been away from the Forum too long.
When I was a very young punk I worked at Livonia Transmission (Ford) for the summer. It was hell. What got me through the day was Ted Nugent tunes on my Walkman. As you know he was a deity in Detroit. Workin' hard, playin' hard helps me get thru each day and night. Those lyrics and accompaning riff meant the world to a 19 year old. That is what I tend to remember.
I like to judge a man by the total body of his work.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
For what it's worth, I have known Ted for quite some time. He does not change in person, what you see is what you get. He has an opinion on everything and is very articulate when voicing it. I think being provacitive is part of his job description. Tell you what tho, his message does not change according to his audience, no pandering to different crowds at different times like so many of our discusting politicians. The concert was decent, he played heavily on the self titled " Stranglehold" album, Cat Scratch and then on to Weekend Warriors.
My views on Theo go back to the early 70's including a sit-down chat with him, but out of respect to this forum and it's content I leave that for another place. I do think MJ's words are appropriate as they sum it up for the way it should be for every man and woman.
