I'm curious to know if any of you show off coins on Facebook. Personally, I'm a little paranoid about doing this, even if only my "friends" can see my site.

I may well use FB but I don't mess around with hobbies on there. Friends/family, yes. Hobbies, no.
Using anything makes one less secure, however understanding what issues may arise, and how one handles things like information in the first place is the key to being reasonably secure and safe.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

So I erased the pics and topics off my timeline, especially being careful not to talk about investment or PM type topics. Shame, I wanted to share the fun and knowledge with friends, but on FB your stuff goes far beyond an inner circle (not that I trust my inner circle hah!). I mean nothing is secure. Even here, its an open place for someone w bad intentions to snoop around for info, so I try not to give personal details. Glad to have this forum for sure!

Exactly Ron , its no more a security risk than selling on ebay or opening up shop anywhere online.Any security risks are provided soley by the user, theres intricate security levels on FB there to be used but few do and then wonder how their pics got nicked etc

I don't do much on FB myself.
HOWEVER - if you friend a lot of collectors on FB, and I suspect most of us do, this information can probably be derived by someone who knows what they are doing.
They are already using FB to do bizarre things like predict who is gonna hook up w/who, w/startling accuracy.

I enjoy FB for reconnnecting with lost friends and sharing news about the family (mostly pics of my kids). Aside from that, the bulk of my FB posts are political. I enjoy the debates and especially enjoy baiting certain co-workers into political debates. It can be fun, but like anything else, you need to use common sense.
And listing coins on FB would be the absolute last thing I would do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I take a lot more measures on security offline, so I can feel comfortable online.

Is that why so many here want to know my exact address?!
is there an app for that?

Perhaps they want to send you a nice coin as a gift?
