I like it! I don't know much about valuing toned coins though, so I don't know of the price.

I paid right at 2x what a normal white example would cost.

you need to write on the blackboard 50 times..."i will always include images of both sides of my coin"....then off to the corner for 15 mins untill you learn we have a rule here...
"all coins must include images of both sides"

i bet those colors are a lil muted...properly imaged i bet those colors are close to neon...am i right?
    great coin though
price to me is about right as it's a solid toner with grade in a respected tpg
is it a one sided or 2 sided beauty???

Reverse added...I agree the pics were dark so I am hoping the coin in hand is neon.

I think if it is neon, with those colors, could make it worth $400 on up, depending on intensity.

Either way, I like it and that's what counts.

I'm affarid the obverse is going to be pretty dark since the lighting for the
seller's picture may have brought out deep colors that you do not see when
the coin is in hand. Post some in hand pics when you can. Good Luck

Looks like muted luster but decent color. You did good, not a home run.

It's not always the "good color" that sells a coin but also the lack of "bad color". The speckled browns distract to a point the positiveness of the color presentation is muted.
Couple that with what appears to be less than adequate luster and I'd say your price was a bit high.

  • I like the coin, but I think you paid too much. With common dates in the $140 -$160 range, $250 would have been strong money in my opinion. The purchase price, $329, is extremely expensive. Was this a fixed price or auction sale?
  • cheezhedcheezhed Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭✭✭
I saw that one and passed.

If I paid that much I would have thought I overpaid.

However if you like it and think you did good that's all that matters.
    Many happy BST transactions

With proper photos that coin will sell for $300-$350 given enough time and exposure. Also with proper photos, you would have a lot more people giving more positive responses.

Got the coin in hand today...all I can say is WOOT! image

Wonderful above average luster, even for a 65, making the colors JUMP! Very electric and even wonderful natural BLUES in the hair and ears! I am really pleased! Win some and lose some...this one is a definite win. Thanks seller!

Unless you`re trying to flip this coin it really doesn`t factor into the question.

If this is just an addition to your own collection, then it must have been worth it in your own mind when you made the purchase and that is all the matters.

I buy what I like for whatever price seems right to me.
