Local coin shop owner armed robbery !

Here in Fayetteville, NC , the other shop across town, the owner was robbed at gunpoint this am. I just talked to him and he informed me that he was approached from the back as he left the store to go to the bank I believe. He was pushed down and gun placed at the back of his head. Luckily his grandson (older) was outside the store and went to jump the attacker, and was shot at, but missed. The guy is in custody thankfully, Thats all I know at this time. Will update as I find out more.

    I bought some coins from a guy today. When I asked for his license I saw his license to carry. As soon as I mentioned it, he pulled up his shirt to show me a pistol. I told him he was a good American and just "leave that thing in your pants, please". image

    That's a scary situation for sure! Glad everyone is OK and the perp got caught.
    The guys at my local shop are as prepared as can be. They're almost expecting it.
    3 local shops were hit here in Portland recently as overnight break-ins.

    Glad no one was physically injured and the jerk was caught. Hope he gets the maximum. One can't be too prepared.

    I think a coin dealer tried that and is now in jail for killing the bad guy who pointed a gun at him.
