What gold, silver, etc. trade wise do you keep in you B.O.B?

  • You sure do know how to spin it don't you? I post all the time here about PM and have a few post under my belt about firearms as that is another hobby, seems a little one sided. To call me mentally unstable is a little out of line isn't it? Look call a spade a spade, you don't like me because I wouldn't pay an exorbitant amount for silver you had for sale, then I made a comment about it being a little high and you sent SMotis a PM and tried to turn him on me. Lots of others post about guns here, but yet you single me out? Call me crazy? You need to do a safety check on yourself and stop criticizing others then come here crying when you can't sell you over priced stuff here, okay bud? You say you need money for other stuff, then turn around, try to snipe some ebay auctions then come right back and mark the stuff way up and post it for sale here. You dish it out but need to call a moderator when it comes back to you. You obviously have a tough time in the real world but are superman behind the keyboard. I let sleeping dogs sleep until you came here and decided to start more nonsense. What the hell is wrong with you, are you really that jacked in the head?

Edit: I am not the only one who feels this way, have SMotis check my PM's the last 20 will do, as 10 are from other members complaining about you.

If you wouldn't have backed out of of an offer YOU made and that you commited to by saying, "I'll take it" (you were doing the old playing the market thing, and when the market turned for the worse, you backed out), then as you admit, bad mouth me in one of my BST threads (something you just dont do, I admit i've done it, but don't anymore), maybe if you had not threatened my life when I called you out on backing out on the deal in a private message...maybe, I doubt it, but maybe we could've actually seen eye to eye and resolved the matter.
When you threatened my life, yeah, that's when I turned to a Mod, and to be very honest, I cannot believe you are still allowed to post here.

So here we are again. I make a simple comment that anyone can tell something about someone by what they say here, in general terms at least, it wasn't even directed at you...and you immediately resort to name calling.

You see, there's always 2 sides of every story, now isn't there?

I'm done with it, I wont be drawn into your little it's the end of the world and what would you do circus. later.

  • Okay, let's clear this up, threatened whom? What are you talking about? Post it? Go ahead, and I will post our PM history, never happened. What the hell is wrong with you? Are you that off your rocker? Never threatened, never anything like that?

Post it for everyone to see!

Now as far as the offer, it wasn't for sale, but I did offer making a mistake thinking it was something else and PM'ed you right away saying I did. Never did you say, hey I want you to buy this, nothing, just whatever.

I apologized and asked if you were mad and you said-
"Not at all Jeff. You didn't say the magic words that you'd take it, you were just seeing if I would make the offer.
    No worries."

You are nuts, these conversations never happened, never was anyone threatened, this is ridiculous. What your motive is??

Let's talk PMs. You guys can insult each other via private messages or trade phone numbers.

OK, I'm just gonna post here because the last 4 threads I posted in last nobody posted after me and I think I now have the magic thread killing touch of death or something like that. Hopefully this will stop the nonsense.

    p.s. I like the B.O.B. idea too, but I'm a survivalist

    Great.

More entertainment for those of us that can't afford cable TV.

Why don't you two get a room. TN has no one to talk to since Llafoe got deployed. Poor guy.

Llafoe is probably reading this and howling.

    I agree with Gecko 100%

Taking into considerations maybe even say an apocalyptic event, the Assault Rifle and Combat bag wont get you far Or If the Mob is after you your dead, if the Goverment is after you your all done period.

Im not going to judge Texas Guy here but its quit common for militant people to feel the way he does, I work with a few guys like that and they ALL have the AR 15 or a modified M-4 and are waiting ( Actually hoping ) for SOMETHING to happen so they can lock and load, kinda funny I think image

I find it hard to believe that your friends are hoping for an apocalyptic event just so they can shoot someone. People forget that a bug out bag is nothing more than an insurance policy to survive a natural or man-made disaster. People buy insurance all the time without hoping they'll get a chance to use it.

unfortunately, the fantasies of post-apocalyptic scenarios are quite common, and I too have met many who go beyond prep into secretly (or openly) hoping that such events take place. It's not hoping that they can shoot someone, but to finally be proven 'right' for their prep and others 'wrong' for not believing in the possibility. Once one invests so much time and effort into something (like our friend TN here), emotional investment in the decision can easily override rational thought and become an obsession.

Personally, i think that worrying about the black helicopters all day every day sounds exhausting.

Any ideology, political or otherwise. Same can be said for those who devote all their time to hating the current occupant at 1600 Penn, no matter who it is.

Now can we please talk PMs again?

TN knows a little bit about SHTF. He has lived through them with a combat rifle in his hand in other countries. He has had some serious on the job training. The rest of us eat our big macs, drink our strawberry milkshakes and loosen our belts another notch.

    Hey Jeff...

Looks like we got some keyboard commando weenies here... not worth the time or effort really. It is those that will be whining and crying should some natural or man incurred disaster occur. People have fire extinguishers in home/car, buy insurance, safe deposit boxes (those are a real joke) etc and yet fault you for your preparations. Amazing... I say you have some solid preparations and a very serious background that justifies your actions. Couch potato's and armchair quarterbacks will never understand. Cheers, RickO

Please explain to me why that U.S soldier opened up and killed all those innocent Afgahn women & children then since I haven't lived it. And then come to find out he bilked some old man out of all of his money too. I'm curious why he did all that?

POM.. please explain why a muslim murderer of U.S. soldiers on a U.S. Army base in the United States has still not stood trial for his brutal, cowardly crimes. Of course you would not understand the Afghan situation. For those that do understand, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible. Cheers, RickO

defending a mass murderer by comparing him to another isn't the most solid argument there RickO.

classic example of why PM forum should not be used to discuss guns, unless of course they are made of platinum.

yeh, you're right, i dont understand it having lost 2 family members due to the war. I know nothing about. But yet even so I still am waiting to hear why that soldier did what he did and what his reason was for doing so...but i'll leave it alone since I know nothing about war even though i have never personally participated in one but have lost family members from it.

Another classic example of people not knowing a damn thing about someone and assuming they do based on the reasoning of what that person said!

  • This thread has gotten way out of control, all I wanted to know was what PM you would put in a bag to get home if you were stuck away from home, un prepared. I had a photo showing a Colt AR and G-17 I went ahead and used to show the bad and size constraints and this turned in to gun this, bug out that, stay home this, burger king that, hey I know you are a .... based on what you posted. ALL I wanted to know is if you had a bag, what you carried to make it home to the rest of your family and gear. No more No less. I know everyone had their 2 cents and personnel feelings, but no the time nor place. I even got mad when someone said I threatened their life, which is BS and not sure about motive, but no longer care, just PM's.

I don't have a B.O.B., guns, ammo, stored water or emergency rations.

My cash is at my bank and my PMs reside in safe deposit boxes. I'm content.
  • Wow, I've just recently thought about this same tactic also. More people are getting prepared and we should. Seriously thinking bout: money in another country, citizenship in another country and physically living in a third country.

    Thoughts, suggestions, humor are welcome.

In a natural disaster SHTF scenario a bunch of one's, five's and ten's may be more useful especially if there is a loss of electric power for an extended period of time (no ATM's, no banks, no computers to scan credit cards, etc).
