Hmmm... Financial Planner/Advisor, Risk Appraisal Consultant, wealth creationist/preservationist & certified in long-term care planning.
After 30+ years, it's still fun, challenging, and as every situation is unique, so, too, is the knowledge that comes with it. Retirement isn't a target so much as it is a mindset, and my mind is set to enjoy it 9 months of the year.

"Digger" O'Dell is a man who digs dumps and 100+ year old outhouses as a hobby looking for antique bottles. He has authored books on the subject and I was talking to him yesterday in Baltimore at the worlds largest bottle show. Who knows, maybe he's a mortician also.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Nice to see how many of you are "self-made" and "working for the man"
While coin collecting is seen as the hobby of kings (Farouk) and those who inherit their wealth (Green), the majority of the hobby is still people of modest means who take an interest in history and must work to be able to afford the occasional coin purchase.

Certainly a Diverse and interesting group and a Credit to the good the Internet has done enabling all us to converse on a range of subjects as peers and friends.....whereas in real life we would just be one or more grumpy old men zooming by indifferent on the way to life's next task
Sold my business after 30 years 12-2010. Stayed active for 6 months to help transition. Planned to take 18-24 months to "find myself". Then, who knows. After 8 months, I haven't found myself yet.
