Accumulation...

So i'm doing a little house cleaning on my collection and find Ikes,Susan B. Anthony and Sacajewea dollars that i have accumulated over the years.Trying to make a little room and was wondering how do you unload them.I know i can spend them, but that's a lot of spending. Will the banks honor them at face value?Forgot to mention got ballistic rolls of Presidential Dollars also that i'd like to clean out.I'm sure others have thought about this. What do you do with them? Any Ideas?

E bay is one route to take to get rid of them, you might also try the BST here. Are the singles or rolls? Original bank rolls, un-searched, home-rolled? All these factors can affect the price some.
<< <i>In answer to your first question...Yes, the banks will honor them at face value should you decide to go that route...as they will Morgans and peace dollars and silver halves. >>
Hopefully he won't turn in Morgan and Peace dollars at the bank because they will only give you face value and they are worth a lot more in silver value and many also have additional numismatic value. I'm sure you and the OP know this already but there are lot of new collectors that may be reading these forums.

i was told a story not too long ago of a family inheriting a large amount of silver dimes, quarters etc. one of the siblings got impatient and decided to go to atlantic city i think it was
the next couple of days after one of the other siblings gathered the information needed to move the inheritance with a large buyer came to find out it was all dumped into slots!
.
i'm not certain if slots can accept silver similar to how coinstar and possibly vending machines will not accept them, so the story may not be accurate

Maybe they meant ballastic rolls, like the gold in the holds in the Spanish sailing ships.

<< <i>My mom probably has close to 50 rolls of circulated Bi-Centennial quarters. For years I've been telling her to just take them to the bank. She's convinced they'll be worth more than 25c each some day. I guess with savings accounts giving only 0.5% interest, she may as well keep them in the attic. >>
These will be worth way more than face "someday".
Unfortunately, that "someday" won't be in her or her great, great, great grandchildrens lifetime! Unless of course copper and nickel hits $200 an ounce. Then maybe.

You made a good point which I did not consider...morgans and peace $ being cashed for face. I should have written instead..."route...as they will Morgans and peace dollars and silver halves...BUT DO NOT DO THIS!"
I asked about buying some rolls of halves at my local branch recently and asked if they ever get any rolls of old $ coins. The teller was nice and said that the bank manager had them all on orders to tell him if they get anything like that in...so he could buy em at face himself. She said he also buys rolls of halves very frequently.
