I often saw 'pie crimper' coins at shows in the PNW when I lived there.... and they frequently appear here on the forum. The @PennyLady has some nice ones. Cheers, RickO

Amazing!
That's a lot of pies. I'll take an apple and a blueberry.

You think this one is original? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-1850-Large-Cent-Wheel-Pie-Crimper-Dough-Kitchen-Tool-Hand-Made-Penny-/402685046050?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
The wooden handle looks kind of suspect but the rust on the metal part that holds the coin might be legit, maybe.
Mr_Spud
The OP would probably know.
The handle could've possibly been replaced at some point, but the stem (don't know what it's called) and coin are probably original to each other.

I agree that the handle was very possibly replaced at some point but the metal looks real old so that is not unreasonable.
Seems a bit overpriced, though. I'd scour yard sales and antique stores for one out of its numismatic element.
It is a bit overpriced for it's condition.
Too rusty for my pie. You can buy a clean one on Amazon.
It would be great to have an ANA Summer Pie Baking Seminar
They have the Summer Seminar events where you mint / strike your own coins, so why not one where you use coins to bake pies?
I wonder how difficult it would be to make your own.
Thinking back to life back then, what are the items needed to make one?
A coin, a file, a drill, strips of iron. And a lot of elbow grease.
They should have people see who can build the best one fastest on one of those reality tv shows
