What coin is this?

I have 3 of these, but not sure what this is. Was trying to look for the name on Price Guide (curious how much it's worth) but it has CC on it.

    I don't think you will find them on the Price Guide. They are not issued by the mint.
    They were issued by a private mint for the State of California in 1990.

    The value would come from the PM content and they were issued in 4-coin sets as you can find here...

    Nice looking gold bullion round. Should carry a small premium above melt. Is there a demand for these?

    With gold at its present level I doubt if you could get more than melt for it.

    Cool.. a gold token... worth at least melt. Might be some very limited collector interest, but likely not for much more than melt. Cheers, RickO

    cool =)

    Looked at the link looks like the set is $6k and gold is worth $1,729.38 per ounce. Think I could get $2.5k for it and invest in gold eagles?

  • I would pay a bit over melt. As a Californian, it has thumbs up from me.

    I'm sorry, but unless you run across someone who is especially interested in this particular item, you will be lucky to get much over melt for these. At most you might get $1750 at the current spot.

    There may be someone out there who collects these and would be willing to give you more, but really, they are nothing more than bullion.

    Cheers !

    I've sold several of these and got just above melt. The quarter ounce I sold did a bit better if I recall.

    Just a California thing.
