<< <i>Sorry to those of you who wanted this 67 box to break, but it has been sold for full price! Thanks! Steve
Wow! I knew Cpamike was putting in longer hours and all, but this is is quite a feat! >>
I was going to post when the thread first went up that the box would not last twenty-four hours.
Between Grote and Cpamike, the good stuff goes quick.
I was fornunate enough to grab a crumb today -> a mini 75 cello with Keith Hernandez Psa 9.

I wish I could pull the trigger on that one, but even I have my limits. Plus, if I pulled the trigger, my wife would have pulled the next one and it wouldn't have ended well for me.
I was wondering who swooped in so fast on that PSA 9 75 mini Hendandez cello. Great job Tony. Good thing for you and Tim that I don't collect the minis.

Collecting: Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
<< <i>The Ryan was an 8. Haven't sent everything in yet but I figure, all in, I'm probably down a couple of grand for what I paid. But it was like taking two trips to Tahiti opening that thing, so it was worth it. Got every star in the series in duplicates and triplicates except no Aarons or Benches or Frank Robby. And few All-Stars but did get the Aaron All-Star.
Sorry I petered out on showing the rip but it was mentally draining!! >>
I'd still love to talk to you sometime about picking up some minty commons you might be willing to part with.

Great sale and great product, Steve. That is a phenomenal box, and I hope that whoever the interested buyer was, that it is kept intact.
What a cool find.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

It was a tempting box (if one planned to keep it intact). However, sounds like we married sisters.
Guess we'll have to wait for macrosb to sell his 62 Topps wax box
<< <i>I wonder if a hobby "heavyweight" purchased it?? >>
How do you define heavyweight?
I know many, many hobbyists that have collections worth in the hundreds of thousands of dollars that have never spent $26K on one item. That's a lot of cheese, period.
I'm glad for Steve for the sale. I would tend to say whoever purchased it is a proverbial 1%er

Jim,
I am working from memory on this one. I think Steve had it listed at $8800. He probably gave a 10% break on it
so I would guess it ran around $8k.
