Yes King that was the card that you sold recently.

I can't even begin to imagine what a Hogan PSA 9 could bring right now. I have to think it would be a good number.

What would a JYD 10 go for now?
  • Dpeck100Dpeck100 Posts: 10,912 ✭✭✭✭✭
    No clue.

There are 5 PSA 9 JYD's and I have 3 of them and there is only 1 PSA 10 and I own that too.

I think the buyers of this card realized the potential supply is very low and I am not selling any of mine.

Either way a very impressive price.

I looked at this article again and did not realize that DPeck had an Andre 8 for the article instead of the PSA 9 that he now owns. The other cards below a PSA 10 didn't improve though as progress in this set is very, very tough.

Way to go DPeck!! It is a tragedy though on what has happened to some of those wrestlers. Especially the Von Erics!!

Thank you. There are quite a few of the performers from the sets that died to young.

The Von Erich family tragedy is just almost unimaginable.

I have good information that someone may be setting themselves up to tie DPeck in his 1983 Wrestling All Star set. There are a lot more card sets of this one unopened in comparison to the 1982 A or B sets. Everyone also knows that 1982 A set is the one to have with Hogan, Andre and Flair, etc. Nonetheless, to have someone tie Dpeck in any of his wrestling all star sets would be an amazing accomplishment. We will see if this happens.......

I have been checking the set frequently waiting to see it update to a tie. I assume one of these times it will.

The dealer who has the cards knows he can get more money for them elsewhere and I certainly don't blame him for capitalizing on it.

Well it did happen. If anyone has a card out there to help one of these two collectors to advance their sets or even to prevent the other to acquiring the card they need, I would anticipate an all out war for the card. There is not much room to grow as each have a GPA of 9.75. Amazing to see another collector pull this off. Hats off to them.......

One of the primary reasons I thought these cards were cool was there are tons of guys like Baron Von Raschke in the set. Obviously Hogan and Flair are the biggest stars of the 80's but they are by no means every persons favorite wrestler.

I honestly had never even heard of quite a few of the wrestlers and it was fun to go and look them up and see what impact they had on the sport.
